Saturday, Fourth Week of Easter

St. John 14.7-14: "Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it".

"Jesus Christ, the one high priest of the new and eternal Covenant, 'entered not into a sanctuary made by human hands...but into heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf'. There Christ permanently exercises his priesthood, 'for he always lives to make intercession' for 'those who draw near to God through him'" (CCC 662).
