Thursday, Sixth Week of Easter

Acts 17.15,22-18.1: "Then Paul stood in front of the Areopagus and said, 'Athenians, I see how extremely religious you are in every way. For as I went through the city and looked carefully at the objects of your worship, I found among them an altar with the inscription, 'To an unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown I proclaim to you...while God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will have the world judged in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead'".

About Me

Fr. Seamus Hogan...
was born in downtown Toronto in 1973. The youngest of seven children, his Irish parents always kept him closely involved in the Church. After finishing high school he went on to York University in Toronto. It was only while studying at university that Fr. Seamus discerned a call to the priesthood. In 1997 he entered St. Augustine's Seminary in Toronto. In May 2002, after five years of prayer and study, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto. After his ordination he served at Blessed Trinity parish in Toronto for three years, after which time he served at Merciful Redeemer parish in Mississauga. Since 2007 he has lived in Rome, where he is presently working on a doctorate in Church History at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Fr. Seamus is very happy to be a priest and is thankful that Christ has called him to follow him in the priesthood.
